Founder and CEO of STELLAR (Stellar Pictures; Stellarvision.net). Opiyo is the editor of the 2005 FESPACO International Film Festival "Youth Watch Award" winner "Long Gone" and has also been selected as a 2006 Avid.com featured Student Filmmaker. As a student at Howard University, Opiyo honed his skills to direct films, music videos, commercials, and promotionals. During his tenure at Howard, he has produced, directed, or edited projects under the likes of BET, Mecca Clothing, DC Pulse Magazine and AllCityLife.com, Kevin Liles, GlobalEyes Productions, Raheem Devaughn, Esthero, Liberator Magazine, WHUT-32 and was the recipient of the "Best Editor" and "Best Sound" Awards in the university's 2004 and 2005 Paul Robeson Media Awards.
